Our Carpet & Rug Cleaning Process:

  1. Firstly, we always vacuum your carpets/rugs, ensuring a very thorough vacuuming. On stairs we will always do the horizontal part of the step (not just the vertical).
  2. We then prepare our carpet shampoo mixture with warm water (not boiling as this will damage the machine and carpet).
  3. We always start at the top of the house and work down. We move whatever furniture we can, sometimes it’s just not possible to move all furniture.
  4. We start with any spots that need a bit of extra attention by spraying our shampoo solution and extracting the dirt – a bit of extra elbow grease always helps with this part to agitate these spots.
  5. Next, we clean the main body of the carpet using our long carpet cleaning attachment.
  6. If doing stairs carpet, we use the smaller head to ensure we get a good deep penetrating clean. As mentioned earlier, we always do the horizontal part of the step as well as the vertical part.
  7. We finish with our fresh smelling lavender, which never fails to impress. We use a low foam upholstery cleaner, home safe and self-neutralising. By using liquid, we ensure there is no powder or residue left behind.

FAQs

How will our room be left when you have finished cleaning our carpets?
  • Rooms will be left as they were found unless requested otherwise, sometimes furniture may need to be left away from their original position to ensure proper drying.
How quick is the drying time?
  • We cannot guarantee drying times as this will depend on the material of the carpets and the atmospheric conditions. 
  • In summer, windows should be kept open in sunny weather; in winter, windows should be kept closed with the heating on. 
  • We realise houses and offices spaces are there to be used so carpets can be walked on while damp, but not unnecessarily. You do need to be aware the bottom of your feet may be wet and slippery if stepping onto a solid surface after. Extra awareness is needed with children and elderly.
How often should carpets be cleaned?
  • We recommend carpets should be done at least annually and, in some cases, more regularly. By regularly cleaning your carpets it prolongs their life-span.
  • For commercial customers, the frequency really depends on the type of business and customer flow.

Our Upholstery Cleaning Process:

  1. In preparation for the cleaning process, we always vacuum your couches and seats, ensuring a very thorough vacuuming. Getting into all hidden areas and removing as much build up as possible.
  2. We then prepare our upholstery shampoo mixture with warm water (not boiling as this will damage the machine and upholstery).
  3. We start with any spots that need a bit of extra attention by spraying our shampoo solution and extracting the dirt – a bit of extra elbow grease always helps with this part to agitate these spots.
  4. Next, we clean your upholstery using our small upholstery cleaning attachment, piece by piece. Some upholstery has separate seating, while other types consist of a larger single piece.
  5. When finished we generally leave cushions loose on the couch so that air can circulate around them to allow complete drying. Different materials take longer to dry than others.
  6. We finish with our fresh smelling lavender, which never fails to impress. We use a low foam upholstery cleaner, home safe and self-neutralising. By using liquid, we ensure there is no powder or residue left behind.

Our Machinery

We use two Karcher Puzzi carpet/upholstery cleaners using a smaller upholstery attachment – see images below. They squirt clean water into the upholstery and extract the dirt and dirty water. We do it section by section removing all loose cushions.

Our Leather Furniture Cleaning Process

  1. In preparation for the leather cleaning process, we will always vacuum your leather couches and seats, ensuring a very thorough vacuuming. Getting into all hidden areas and removing as much build up as possible.
  2. We hand wash it thoroughly with Prochem Leather cleaner, cleaning in a circular motion to ensure a more thorough clean. We clean it section by section. We then rinse it off with a damp cloth.
  3. Next, we dry it using a clean microfibre cloth to remove any excess particles.
  4. Once dry, we apply Prochem Leather polish and hand buff it using a microfibre mitt.
  5. We then apply a leather conditioner to soften, restore and help protect the leather.

  • Rooms will be left as they were found unless requested otherwise, sometimes furniture may need to be left away from their original position to ensure proper drying.

Our Oven Cleaning Process:

  1. We use mixed methods: Evans professional oven cleaner, Kitchen Master Foam Oven cleaner 100 and steam cleaning. No matter what way you do it, there is no getting away from the fact that a lot of elbow grease is needed.
  2. We remove all racks and side supports are removed where possible. 
  3. Doors and glass are removed and separated where needed. Some ovens have up to four layers of glass, and each layer tends to get spillages on them. 
  4. Your oven can be used straight away after we finish.
  5. We also offer silicon mats for the base of your oven at a small extra charge (not suitable for gas ovens). These are great for preventing damaging spillages in future and can be washed with washing up liquid or in the dishwasher.

  1. It keeps the oven safe by cleaning and removing grease and burnt residue from the oven
  2. Clean ovens are more efficient
  3. Improves the food quality by minimising the risk of contamination from previous cooking

Our Ad Hoc Cleaning Process (for Fabrics):

  1. Firstly, we always vacuum the item, ensuring a very thorough vacuuming. 
  2. We then prepare our shampoo mixture with warm water (not boiling as this will damage the machine and the item).
  3. We start with any spots that need a bit of extra attention by spraying our shampoo solution and extracting the dirt – a bit of extra elbow grease always helps with this part to agitate these spots.
  4. Next, we clean the main part of the item using our long carpet cleaning attachment.
  5. If necessary, we use the smaller head to ensure we get a good deep penetrating clean. 
  6. We finish with our fresh smelling lavender, which never fails to impress. We use a low foam upholstery cleaner, home safe and self-neutralising. By using liquid, we ensure there is no powder or residue left behind.

How quick is the drying time?
  • We cannot guarantee drying times as this will depend on the material of the item and the atmospheric conditions. 
  • In summer, windows should be kept open in sunny weather; in winter, windows should be kept closed with the heating on.
