Learn more about Lucan Housekeeping Services! Lucan Housekeeping Services was established in Oct 2013 by me, Lhyne Ganadin. At the time, I could not get a job, so I decided to do something for myself. My partner Colin set up our Facebook page, as we decided it would be best to give the business a name from the very start. Anyway, I got several jobs locally but not too many at the start. In December that year, I got another job in a hospital in Dublin. The hours were long, so we decided to park the business for the moment.
In March 2015, we picked up the business again as I was doing lots of travelling to my job over the other side of the city. We invested more time and effort into the business this time. We used Facebook to get our name out there and it started working. We started getting more jobs. I cycled around Lucan and Clondalkin from job to job. On his days off, Colin would give me a lift and sometimes help me out.
That’s the way it was for the next 18 months – building it slowly. In early 2017, we were very happy with the way it was working, Colin who had been working in Penneys for most of his career decided to take a year off to help build the business. We worked hard making new contacts.
We became a member of the South Dublin Chamber and started attending Business Networking meetings in The Spa Hotel in Lucan. Meeting other business owners working to get each other business. We started doing a few bigger jobs, deep cleans. cleaning houses before a new tenant in rentals, after-renovations, new buys or for people who just wanted to have a good clean of the house. We bought a carpet cleaning machine at the end of 2017 and gave some people nice clean carpets and upholstery for Christmas. Christmas 2017 was very busy. We took the week off afterwards.
In early 2018, we took on some staff to help with our growing business. We now have seven people on our payroll, along with the two of us offering a cleaning service and employment in the Lucan and surrounding areas. Our deep cleans have had us travelling to many areas of Dublin and beyond. We had to register for VAT and get business insurance at this stage.
We continue to look for opportunities. That is our story so far looking forward to dealing with your queries

Got my stairs and landing cleaned today along with a fabric chair... they look and smell fabulous!! Great service , great communication.. on time and travelled from Lucan to Dunshaughlin for me... would definitely recommend.
Excellent service from Colin. He helped us out with cleaning the sofa after our toddler had a toilet accident on it. We thought we will have to throw it away but wit Collins help is still in use with no bad smell coming out of it anymore. So yes! He's best for the job and will definitely get back to use his services again.
